Born in Vilnius, pianist Sandra Urba studied with Prof. Anatol Ugorski, Prof. Alfredo Perl and Prof. Pavel Gililov. She received her Diplomas with ‘summa cum laude’ and graduates currently in Concert diploma and Lied accompaniment with Prof. Jacob Leuschner and Prof. Ulrich Eisenlohr at the Musikhochschule Cologne, Germany.
Numerous master courses with renowned artists - Prof. Mikhail Voskresensky, Prof. Homero Francesch, Prof. Arie Vardi, Prof. Andras Schiff, Prof. Dmitry Bashkirov and Prof. Victor Merzhanov- refined her performance experience.
A recipient of prizes and scholarships including the 1st prize of the 11th International Münchner Klavierpodium in 2011, Sandra Urba is currently the holder of a scholarship from the Anna Ruths-Foundation in Frankfurt am Main and is in the promotion program ‘Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now’.
Since 2014, the Hans and Marlies Stock Foundation for Science, Research, Art and Culture have promoted her artistic development.
Sandra Urba performs as soloist with the Bochumer Symphoniker, the Landeskapelle Altenburg/Thüringen, the Bochumer Orchestra Academy and the Orchester des Pfalztheaters Kaiserslautern. She has given solo recitals in such renowned concert halls as the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, the Cologne Philharmonie, in the Schumann-House Leipzig, Mozartsaal in Hamburg, in the Historischen Stadthalle Wuppertal, in the broadcasting hall in Bremen as well as the Schwarzwald-Musik-Festival in Calw, Germany.
In 2013 Sandra Urba released her Debut CD with works by Schumann.
Sandra has been a member of the Eldering Ensemble since 2013.
